GOALS

EDUCATE + ENGAGE THE LIVERPOOL COMMUNITY TO REIMAGINE SUSTAINABLE URBAN FOOD SYSTEMS + INCREASE WELLBEING
1

Goal 1: SCALE EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS

Farm Urban's Feed the Future programs introduce young people to hi-tech, sustainable food growing and challenge them to develop ideas and designs to encourage people to make more sustainable, healthier food choices. Over the next two years, Farm Urban will bring their Aquaponics and Future Food Challenges to over 20,000 additional students across 50+ Liverpool, UK schools.
2

Goal 2: COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

Through Community Edible Walls, Farm Urban introduces adult groups who face barriers to formal learning and employment to vertical hydroponic growing, which increases health and wellbeing. Over the next two years, Farm Urban will install Community Edible Walls in 8 new locations across Liverpool, UK.
3

Goal 3: DEVELOP A MODEL FOR OTHER CITIES

To continue to scale this work and reach more communities, Farm Urban is developing Eco-Verse, an online learning platform. Through this work, they will develop a framework that utilizes the successful Farm Urban model in Liverpool to help cities across the United Kingdom and the world build their own integrated local networks to educate and engage communities on sustainable circular food systems.
